Honey Tanks
I used to fill my jars of honey using jugs and ladels. Suffice to say, it took a long time and was incredibly sticky.
Now I have a stainless steel tank with tap and the whole process is a lot more efficient and enjoyable. Watch the honey flow and listen to my delight:
Benefits Of Honey Tank With Tap
The benefits of filling jars with honey using this type of tank (as opposed to using ladles) is best described in numbers:
- 70% – reduction in the time it took to fill the jars
- 99% – less sticky
- 500% – more enjoyable
Types Of Honey Tank
Alternatives: Tanks made of plastic or stainless steel, varying in capacity from 25Kg to 100Kg.
My 50kg stainless steel tank is from Maisemore (who gave me a fab deal in return for mentioning them). Looking at the competition in September 2013, their price was lower than similar products – but do have a look around. The following link will take you to the Maisemore honey tanks if you want to find out more: Honey Tanks. I have also listed and provided links to other Beekeeping Equipment Suppliers.
Please mention me if you do buy from Maisemore!
